International Writing

Room 20 read a very cool story called "Mr Hadlow Has a Son" from the book of stories "Mr Hadlow Has..."  The story was about a missing snake called Reg and the massive fright someone got when they found Reg in a very unexpected place.  We wrote stories about a time we got a fright, or an adventurous snake, and some of us retold the story of Reg. We sent our stories to the author over in England, and he WROTE BACK TO US!!  Mr Hadlow also sent us a photo of himself holding Reg the snake.  Come and read our stories, and check out the photo of Reg with Mr Hadlow.

Room 20 are going GREEN!

Room 20 have started recycling their rubbish.  We are RECYCLING soft plastics and hard plastics.  The children are also cleaning their rubbish so we can reuse it again, like yogurt pots and fruit pots.  They are great for using during art and junk modelling.  One of our big aims is to REDUCE the use of glad wrap in our lunch boxes.  Glad wrap cannot be recycled and it goes straight to landfill.  Children are now choosing to use reusable bags and containers, no wrapping or reusable beeswax wraps.  Keep it up Room 20, let's see if we can be glad wrap free by the end of this term!
