Bee Bots
Room 20 have been learning simple coding with Bee Bots. This week we have been creating our own game boards for the Bee Bots to move around on. They're not quite finished yet but hopefully by the end of the week they'll all be done. Room 20 will then teach Room 19 how to use our games.
SPCA
The children in Room 20 love animals, and a small group decided to help the SPCA. First they designed some posters asking for donations. They asked for blankets, towels and toys. Then they went around to all the classes in the school and told everyone about the SPCA. Over the next few weeks we had lots of donations arriving in Room 20. Look at all the things these guys collected!
The blankets and towels filled up 5 whole boxes and Mrs Farrelly's car was stuffed full! The whole lot was delivered to the SPCA in Mangere. Room 20 got a thank you letter from the SPCA and there is something else special happening soon!
The SPCA also said that children and families are welcome to visit the centre and see what work they do, maybe even meet some of the animals.
Thank you Devon, Ella, Kaylan, Josh and Nikira, you did an amazing job.
